For pastors, priests & church leaders

A short note for the leadership meeting.

If you are the one who has to bring this to your council, vestry, session or board, thank you. Here is what we would want you to be able to tell them.

A church’s presence online is a small thing beside its life together, but it is not a trivial one. For many people it will be the first sign that your community exists, and the first taste of how it receives a guest. It deserves the same care you would give to the church doors.

  1. The decisions stay with you.

What is said about the faith, about your church and about its clergy is yours to approve. We will offer counsel, but nothing goes live that your pastor or priest has not seen.

  2. We will ask for very little time.

One or two conversations at the start, a review of the plan and designs, and a last read-through before launch. Between those, we do the work.

  3. Stewardship is treated with care.

A church’s money is an offering. We will be clear about costs from the beginning, and we will not recommend anything your church does not need.

  4. Your church owns what we make.

Your words, photographs, accounts, domain and website belong to the church. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm ownership and handoff terms.]

  5. Volunteers will not be left alone with it.

We train the people who will care for your site and channels, in plain language, and leave written guidance behind for whoever comes after them.

Bring us to the table.

If it would help, we are glad to join a leadership meeting by call to answer questions directly.
